WaterAid Projects
Since 2005, George Wright and partners have travelled to Africa four times to build trusted relationships with communities and schools who are in dire need of clean water and proper sanitation facilities.
Working alongside WaterAid, the team has raised a considerable amount through donations, almost totalling £100,000. The team has hosted many talks and fund-raising events to educate and spread awareness for the cause, in hope to recruit more, much-needed support. The generous donations from sponsors and businesses so far have made such a huge difference (which can be viewed in the most recent tip), motivating the team to carry on the good work and branch out further.
The most recent trip took three months, starting in South Africa’s port Elizebeth and traveling through: Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and finally back to South Africa’s Cape town. Throughout this trip, multiple projects which had been funded in previous years were visited; checking on the progress made and to catch up with old friends who were still greatly appreciative of the generosity, work and money invested into their community and schools.
